Shortage of Water
What is shortage of water?
884 million people in the world do not have access to safe water. This is roughly 1/8 of the world population. The shortage of water in the world has grown to a bigger crisis in the past 50 years. Looking back from 1960, the population has increased by 40 and 50 percent. This has introduced a higher demand for water. This has not only occured in America but Africa, Asia, and Australia. The manifestations of the water crisis include the following:
1. Inadequate access to water for about 84 million people.
2. Inadequate access to sanitation and water disposal.
3. Groundwater overflowing
4. Overuse and pollution of water
5. Warfare over water
